![]() ![]() ![]() Members of this Kappa Kappa Psi pride themselves on dedicated service and support to bands, encouragement of musical growth, lifelong educational experiences, leadership opportunities, and recognition. Founded on Thursday, November 27, 1919, by 10 founding fathers on the campus of then, Oklahoma A&M College (now named Oklahoma State University), the once small, local organization has spent the last 100 years growing into an illustrious organization with more than 50,000 members on 200 college and university campuses across the country. In order to continue this meaningful tradition, the Foundation needs the support of all of our graduate brothers! Please consider making a contribution to the Foundation, to help support its goals, the Fraternity, and our profession.Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity is a co-educational fraternal organization that operates exclusively in the field of collegiate and university marching bands. Since that time, the Foundation has grown and now contributes $12-14k in scholarships every year to deserving collegiate brothers. This goal was first realized in 1995 when the first 2 scholarships were awarded in the amount of $500 each. One of the initial goals of the Foundation was to develop a scholarship program to help deserving Kappa Psi brothers to complete their pharmacy education and become contributing members of the pharmacy profession. Other 501(c)(3) activities as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.Assist Kappa Psi members and other professionals who are chemically impaired by serving as a resource for the distribution of brochures and other literature.Promote the improvement of the general welfare of the community through the support of pharmacy outreach programs by chapters, such as medication counseling programs, drug abuse and poison control lectures and health programs for the elderly.Provide opportunities for the advancement of new pharmacy developments through the financial support of research, and to convey this knowledge to members of the profession and the general public.Encourage the advancement of the practice of pharmacy through the rendition of continuing educational services for the benefit of pharmacists, other health care professionals and the general public. ![]() Foster the educational goals (scholarship and scientific research) of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc.Assist in the education of selected qualified students of pharmacy and other qualified students through financial aid and scholarship programs.As stipulated in the Foundation by-laws, the specific objectives of the Foundation include: The purposes and objectives of the Foundation are exclusively charitable, scientific, education and literary. Subsequently, the Foundation was granted a tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. The Foundation was officially incorporated on Februin Wilmington, Delaware. Campbell being elected as the first President. Seven graduate brothers met during the 1992 American Pharmaceutical Association annual meeting in San Diego at the San Diego Marriott and approved by-laws and elected officers, with Dr. On March 15, 1992, a non-profit organization was established called the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Foundation to provide educational, leadership, financial assistance, and other charitable functions for Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. ![]()
